SubAqua Imaging Systems
SubAqua Imaging Systems was founded by Ronan Gray in October of 2006. The company designs and manufactures underwater cameras, lighting and all the supporting equipment required to operate them. Over the years, SAIS has developed special expertise in Ethernet cameras, recording systems and livestreaming.
We are located in San Diego, California just off the Interstate 5 freeway, east of Pacific Beach.
Our Approach
SAIS strives to design the most robust solutions at the best value for our customers. These include
- Cameras
- Lights
- Cables and connectors
- Cable reels
- Control units and recording systems.
- Live Streaming Systems
- Wipers to keep camera windows clean
Our products are designed, fabricated and assembled in-house in California, USA by SAIS engineers, machinists and technicians. Every product is tested to its rated depth in our in-house pressure testing facility before leaving our factory.
Our Focus
SubAqua Imaging Systems is primarily an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) that designs and manufactures imaging products for use underwater. However, our expertise has allowed us to undertake many special projects too. Examples include, a well-inspection camera system, an autonomous pipe inspection system for fresh water pipelines, a time-lapse camera with a light for marine life monitoring and a heart rate monitor for studying the effects of acoustics on marine mammals.
Our aquaculture customers needs have driven us to develop a particular class of underwater cameras and lights that are designed for long-term, continuous immersion in the harsh marine environment. This has led us to develop a line of cameras that have no exposed metal on the exterior and use our own custom-made cable and cable connection to meet the demands of this segment. Our expertise has grown to include the techniques needed to assemble these cable connections in-house so that we can have full control over delivery time and quality.
